Administrative courts’ case-law concerning human rights protection was discussed in an international conference

An international conference “Administrative Courts as Guardians of Human Rights” organized by the Supreme Administrative Court of Lithuania took place in Vilnius on 14th October. Judges and scholars from Lithuania, France, Poland and Germany shared their insights and discussed case-law on human rights protection, thus marking the 15th anniversary of the Supreme Administrative Court of Lithuania.

SACL has been invited to join the European Network of Higher Courts

SACL has rendered a decision in the travel agencies’ case

On 2 May 2016, the Supreme Administrative Court of Lithuania rendered a decision in an administrative case in which the applicants, i. e. Eturas UAB (the holder of exclusive rights to E-TURAS online system and the system’s administrator) and travel agencies using the system contested a decision of the Competition Council of the Republic of Lithuania to impose fines on the travel agencies for anti-competitive practices.

Representatives of human rights organization visited the Court

Representatives of the International Society for Human Rights (Internationale Gesellschaft für Menschenrechte) from Germany visited the Supreme Administrative Court of Lithuania (SACL) on 15 July 2015. They were interested in the cases at the Court, protection and support of human rights in the work of the administrative judiciary in Lithuania.
