CJEU Judge Rimvydas Norkus visited SACL
On 21 December 2022, the Supreme Administrative Court of Lithuania (SACL) was visited by Judge Rimvydas Norkus from the General Court of the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU).
Judge Norkus met with SACL President Skirgailė Žalimienė, SACL judges and lawyers and discussed the intensity of judicial review in Lithuanian courts and the Court of Justice of the European Union; judicial evaluation of critical economic and technical issues; standard of proof and effective protection of fundamental human rights in specific European law areas.
During the meeting, the guest exchanged opinions regarding EU law application in national legal acts, went over SACL and CJEU case law.
