On 16 November 2023, a delegation from Tanzania visited the Supreme Administrative Court of Lithuania (SACL) through the World Bank Organisation.

The guests were greeted by Ernestas Spruogis, Vice-President of the Supreme Administrative Court, and Egidija Tamošiūnienė, Judge of the Supreme Court of Lithuania, Vice-President of the Council of Judges. Ernestas Spruogis introduced the Tanzanian delegation to the system of administrative courts in Lithuania, its main features and peculiarities, the problems of cases heard by the Supreme Administrative Court of Lithuania, discussed the most important directions of the SACL's activities and shared good practice in the areas of organisation of the court's work and the procedure of administrative cases.

Egidija Tamošiūnienė introduced the Judicial Council in Lithuania, discussed the model of its formation and functioning, the areas of its competences, as well as the main functions of the Judicial Council.

During their visit on 13-16 November, the guests from Tanzania visited the Ministry of Justice, the Vilnius City District Court and the National Courts Administration, under the coordination of the National Courts Administration. The delegation was introduced to the Lithuanian judicial system, its structure and principles of operation, and was familiarised with the digitised work of the courts and the measures used in the Lithuanian courts to combat corruption.
