Justice Skirgailė Žalimienė Appointed Vice-President of the Supreme Administrative Court of Lithuania
Pursuant to the Constitution of the Republic of Lithuania and in the view of the recommendation of the Judicial Council, President of the Republic of Lithuania Dalia Grybauskaitė signed a decree on 28 June 2019 appointing justice Skirgailė Žalimienė Vice-President of the Supreme Administrative Court of Lithuania.
Ms. Skirgailė Žalimienė was appointed to the Supreme Administrative Court of Lithuania in 2008. Before that, Ms. Žalimienė held position of Deputy Director General of the European Law Department under the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Lithuania.
Ms. Žalimienė holds a doctoral degree (PhD) in Law from Vilnius University and is an associated professor in Vilnius University Faculty of Law. She gives lectures and does researching in the area of European Union law (European Union institutional and substantial law, European Court of Justice case law, European Union competition law, and Human rights).
