A publication analysing the links between Lithuanian administrative justice and European Union law is now available to a broader professional community across Europe.

The collection of scholarly articles “European Union Law and Lithuanian Administrative Justice”, published in 2023 by the Supreme Administrative Court of Lithuania in cooperation with the Faculty of Law of Vilnius University, is now available in English. The publication is dedicated to analysing the development of the Lithuanian administrative court system, changes in administrative law, and their interaction with European Union law.

The articles examine the evolution of relations between the Supreme Administrative Court of Lithuania and other state authorities, and discuss recent trends in the case-law of the Court of Justice of the European Union and Lithuanian administrative courts. The publication also analyses the protection of fundamental human rights in the practice of Lithuanian courts and international institutions, as well as the case-law developed by the Supreme Administrative Court of Lithuania in areas of administrative law most strongly influenced by European Union law.

The Supreme Administrative Court of Lithuania hopes that the English-language edition of the publication will contribute to international legal dialogue, increase the visibility of Lithuanian administrative justice, and enhance the accessibility of academic research across Europe.
